It was a shame that April fool’s day was on a weekend this year, it’s always good fun playing a trick or two on someone and work is a great place to do it. Everyone loves a laugh and that bit of excitement makes your job go a little bit quicker.
Obviously you’re at work so you can’t go over the top with the April fool pranks you play in case you lose your job and handed your P45, unless your boss is getting you back. 
I love playing tricks on people and here is my list of jokes you can do at work on April fool’s day.
1. Call in sick
Arrange the day before for every employee to phone the boss and tell him/her that they are too ill to do their job so they won’t be coming in today.
Depending on the size of the company it could be hard to pull off but this works well for small companies. Your boss may end up angry for the last few people to ring him but the funny side will be seen when everyone turns up to do their job.
2. The classic
Offer someone a chewing gum and watch their face of shock when their finger gets caught by the metal trap when they try to pull the gum out of the packet.
Offer a sweet; you can get a great selection from your local joke shop. They range from horrible flavours(super sour, too salty, eggy) and colouring which is my favourite, once they put the sweet in their mouth their teeth, tongue, mouth and if they lick their lips too they will all be the colour of the sweet you gave them
3. Fart machine
Do I need to explain this one? It’s kind of funny when someone lets out a fart at work but what if you’re sitting in a meeting and for a second everything is silent until you hit your button and let out an artificial fart. 
4. Stink bombs
Another one that don’t need an explanation and could go hand in hand with the fart machine and will probably lead to a quick end of your meeting as stink bombs are hard to bare!
5. it’s getting silly now but…
Can’t beat a post-it note on the back of someone saying kick me or something else equally silly this is old school but still effective!
